Yesterday, we had the privilege and honor to meet Tom Devine, legal director, Government Accountability Project (GAP) in D.C.  For over 3 decades, Devine has championed the rights of whistleblowers defending 5,000+ people against corporate giants and federal agencies alike.  His work in the field of rights advocacy is legendary.  

My request to meet with Tom had simple intent.  Collaboration among colleagues.  His response.  Congratulations on WhistleWatch.org and Welcome!   An alliance was formed between the two groups.  This will strengthen legal representation, whistleblower support services and education of the public.  The import of protecting whistleblowers who nobly risk their livelihoods to help others must be taught from the schoolyard to the Rose Garden.  Whistleblowers are vital to protecting everyday life.

Devine’s most recent book, The Corporate Whistleblower’s Survival Guide .  Dr. Jeffrey Wigand, the subject of the movie, The Insider wrote a wonderful foreword.  Other notable whistleblowers such as Colleen Rowley-FBI 9/11 and Time Person of the Year wrote a praise notation.  For more information on GAP and to purchase a copy of the book, http://www.whistleblower.org/
